This book is atrocious. It’s so good and so bad.
SYNOPSIS: Do love stories ever die?. . . How would you react when a beautiful person comes into your life, and then goes away from you . . . forever?
Not all love stories are meant to have a perfect ending. I Too Had a Love Story is one such saga. It is the tender and heartfelt tale of Ravin and Khushi—two people who found each other on a matrimonial site and fell in love . . . until life put their love to the ultimate test.
Romantic, emotional and sincere, this heartbreaking true life story has already touched a million hearts. This bestselling novel is a must-read for anyone who believes in the magic of love . .
LIKES: Their love story was really well written. I was really feeling it, especially that flirtatious phone call midway. Another scene that got me nervous was when they tried to outsmart Khushi’s parents to spend more time together (in his hotel room – just talking) and then being on the brink of getting caught. It was nerve wrecking!
OUTRIGHT DISLIKE: BUT SHE DIES. Here I was expecting to see their first fight. Cause that’s what I wanted to see. Their love story was so sweet that I really wanted to see how they’d handle their first argument. But no, she dies. She dies abruptly in a car accident and the novel ends. There’s no reprieve. It’s just a sad love story. I hadn’t had read the blurb prior to reading the book. BUT LOOK THE BLURB SAID ‘PUT THEIR LOVE TO THE ULTIMATE TEST’ If she was dying of something and not just dead I can still understand. It’s about will he stay by her side, the moments they cherish together. But this is just she gets stuck in a coma before she dies and him just standing there. What test of love is this?
BUT THE LOVE STORY WAS SO WELL WRITTEN.
Urgh. So much potential.
Read it for the love story and just stop before the last chapter. #thankmelater
